i will! this time is for real. the more i think about cigs, the more i despise them. I'm totally over them. they are stupid and trendy and addicting. No offense to any smokers here heh. But yeah, i LOVE waking up without coughing up lung butter and smelling nice and fresh. I have even had the willpower to be around 2 or 3 people who smoke in the past week without lighting up one myself. It actually HELPS me i think when im around someone whos smoking, because i can smell their nasty smoker smell and breath, and i cant believe thats how i used to smell to people. And now matt is giving me tongue kisses :) yay.

thanks bagelyboo :)

Tim and Alicia, how have you guys been holding up? do the losanges work for you guys? My next concern is weaning myself off these losanges! I think when they are gone ill buy the really low dose patches and use those instead. i love these losanges, but i need to get over the oral fixation.

We haven't held up really well. My concern now is just cutting back as much as I can and then worry about quiting. :)

Good for you though! Was it hard in the beginning?

it was. well getting used to the losanges was hard. You should really try the patches, they worked for me before but i jsut got tired of paying for them and my roommate moved in who smokes so it was tough. Just think of the bebe alicia, it should make it a little easier on ya. And seriously go buy some patches. They worked for me.

I tried the patches. I actually think that I was allergic to them or something. Whenever I would put one on it would get red inside the patch and the area around it. It would also burn for the first 15 minutes and itch. I think the last time I wore one was when I tore it off in my sleep. I remember her hurting and waking up with it stuck to my pillow thinking 'how did this happen?' lol

Thank goodness I've never had an addictive personality. Luckily for me, I have been able to stop smoking... well... you know.... whenever i needed to, without any withdrawl symptoms. But that's because it is more of a mental addiction, unlike nicotine, which has physical symptoms as well. Plus, it is fat soluable, which makes the weaning off of it far less intense.

But on topic.... I'm really proud of you. I know it must be hard, I watched my grandparents quit, and, needless to say, it's no tiny accomplishment. Keep up the good work, and just keep thinking about the kind of person you want to be for yourself. Stay strong.
