a derby game known as the 'M69 derby' with only 20 miles separating the 2 clubs.....as is usual at these encounters both set of supporters were in full voice giving they're teams full support,no 'sing when you're winning' syndrome here....it was a tense atmosphere from the word go with both sides making basic mistakes but with neither side capitalising.....the deadlock was broken in the 38th mine when leicester defender paul gallagher handled on the edge of the box,the resulting free kick saw sammy klingan curl an unstoppable shot into the top corner
half time.....coventry city 1 leicester city 0
the second half started with the home side looking most likely to score which would have happened if not for some brave goal keeping and desperate defending,gradually the away side worked they're way back into the game resulting in a well taken waghorn goal to equalise in the 71st minute
