From the department of it is never simple because it is me. We need to replace our in-wall combo microwave/oven. After doing a little research, I decided to purchase a Whirlpool from Lowes. First, they have to send someone to measure the cabinet to make sure the one I want to order will fit. Even though I told them it would. That builds in a few days delay while they send someone to measure. After... he confirms my dimensions it is time to order.
This turned into a bit more of a challenge than expected but after a little while we get our order placed. Since it is not a stock item it has to be ordered. They tell me 2 weeks at the outside I will be using my new appliance. 2 weeks later I call to check on the status. Appliance arrived on Monday but no one had notified the installer by Thursday. Thursday night the installer calls and says he can schedule me for early Monday.
Yesterday the installer arrives with my new microwave/oven. He removes my old unit and starts installing the new unit. I notice the new microwave door does not look right. Sure enough the door is improperly glued together with a large gap right in the center of the door. Installer re-installs the old unit and I go back to Lowes to start the process again. They said they would try to rush things up a little. I hope to be using my new appliance by the end of next week. <Fingers crossed>
