I'm sure I'm about ten years behind on this, but-

Has anyone else considered that Rose's oldest child (if there was more than one) was actually Jack's? And maybe the granddaughter (great granddaughter?) it shows helping her out is his as well?

As far as the OP question, I have never considered this possibility because the movie never hinted at the possibility.

no because there's no sign of her having a child in all the pictures. in the movie, it was her granddaughter, not great granddaughter and she mentions her grandfather to her in the movie. her daughter would have been 84 years old, making the granddaughter much older than what she appears in the movie

Good point. I haven't finished it, so I'd forgotten about it showing all those pictures.
