I found this funny quiz and I thought yall might enjoy it:

Are you paying attention???

The average person only gets 7 correct. This is based on U.S. info, so use all lobes of your brain. This can be more difficult than it looks - it just shows how little most of us really see!

There are 25 questions about things we see every day or have known aboutall our lives. How many can you get right? These little simple questions are harder than you think-- it just shows you how little we pay attention to the commonplace things of life.

Put your thinking caps on. No cheating! No looking around! No getting out of your chair! No using anything on or in your desk or computer! Can you beat 20?? (The average is 7) Write down your answers as you go. Check answers (on the bottom) AFTER completing all the questions.

REMEMBER - NO CHEATING!!! BE HONEST!!! That means no looking at your phone or anything on your desk....

LET'S JUST SEE HOW OBSERVANT YOU REALLY ARE. - If not, just have fun! Here we go!

1. On a standard traffic light, is the green on the top or bottom?

1. On a standard traffic light, is the green on the top or bottom?

Bottom, but that depends on WHERE you're from. Some places in Indy have them on the top.

2. How many states are there in the USA? (Don't laugh, some people
don't
know)

50, with innumerable territories.

3. In which hand is the Statue of Liberty's torch?

Right

4. What six colours are on the classic Campbell's soup label?

red, blue, orange, yellow, green, white - ok I'm guessing.

5. What two numbers on the telephone dial don't have letters by them?

1 and 0, unless you have a cell phone. All phones are different though. Take it from a Phone guy.

6. When you walk does your left arm swing with your right or left
leg?(Don't you dare get up to see!)

I usually don't swing my arms that much, but usually the right.

7. How many matches are in a standard pack?

No idea, but I could count them in one of my books.

8. On the United State s flag is the top stripe red or white?

red.

9. What is the lowest number on the FM dial?

88?

10. Which way does water go down the drain, counter or clockwise?

Depends on the hemisphere, northern it goes clockwise. Southern it goes counter.

11. Which way does a "no smoking" sign's slash run?

To the right.

12. How many channels on a VHF TV dial?

VHF TV Dial? I think those were done before I was even born.

13. On which side of a women's blouse are the buttons?

right side.

14. Which way do fans rotate?

This is an unfair question, all ceiling fans can rotate both ways, and it depends on how the blades are positioned. But mine went clockwise.

15. How many sides does a stop sign have?

8 - it's an octagon.

16. Do books have even-numbered pages on the right or left side?

Left.

17. How many lug nuts are on a standard car wheel?

This is also unfair. I have 4 lug nuts, while an Integra Type R has 5 lugs, and lot of domestic cars have 5 also. So it can either be 4 or 5.

18. How many sides are there on a standard pencil?

6.

19. Sleepy, Happy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey, Doc. Who's missing?

No idea.

20. How many hot dog buns are in a standard package?

6 or 8. I've bought them both ways.

21. On which playing card is the card maker's trademark?

Ace of Spades, usually.

22. On which side of a Venetian blind is the cord that adjusts the
opening between the slats?

My set is on the right. I know this because the head of my bed is on the right side, and i can reach it from there.

23. There are 12 buttons on a touch tone phone. What 2 symbols bear no
digits?

Pound and Star.

24. How many curves are there in the standard paper clip?

3.

25. Does a merry-go-round turn counter or clockwise?

Again, can't they go bothways?! I want to say counter for the standard though.

Ok after reviewing the answers, it looks like all the ones with a DEFINITE answer I got right.

Who the hell has a 5 sided pencil?!? I've never EVER seen one. In fact I have a pack of No. 2 pencils sitting here that are hexagon shaped. (I checked after I hit submit.)

But, can't a merry-go-round spin both ways? I don't know what you meant, but I'm thinking about those things at the parks that you pull on and spin. Or is that a carousel?

19/25 also.

I missed

Campbells Soup (I only got Red, Yellow, White, Black)
Box of matches (I said 50)
FM Radio (I said 84.9)
Buttons on the blouse (Yeah, I know)
The dwarves
The paperclip (I said 4 like a jackass because I didn't think about it first)

That was entertaining though. Thanks.

meh, i didnt try - yes its true that it 'tests' things based on every day observation, it doesnt test ones ability to observe necessarily. i find i ususally dont bother trying to remember things unless they are important. and i dont think knowing the colors on a soup can are... nor do i think knowing where the green is on the traffic light is important, unless you are color blind. etc...

maybe im just being cynical...or maybe im just in a bad mood...dunno :dunno
