Who thinks its evil?

Do you think its hard for anything to be evil (except humanz)?
If no one had ever taught you either way on what is and inst evil, Would you still think Pagan is evil?

Or do you just not give a shit either way:clap

Im very bored, Either way Who here is in to Wicca/Pagan stuff?

I like to use it from time to time and live by the laws, I used to be Christan but decided it was to brainwashing and judging for my liking and left.
I believe it don't matter either way what you believe in we all going to the same place.

Pagan religions are far more interesting than monotheistic ones, IMO. I don't believe in any of them, but I love their mythology.

The reason it gets a bad name is because of nutty Christians who cant hack people believing in anything other than Jesus trying to smear it. Personally I relate more to the worship of nature ect though I still think its a load of old bollocks.

thats true ..
when i got baptised the church was full of pagans ,more pentagrams than crosses on show ,thankfully as i live on the welsh border and so we are used to celtic christianity here ,they were welcomed with open arms ..we had a party after at the vicarage after.
if youre british you understand that we are all still linked to the old religion here ,yule and beltane are celebrated in the way that christmas is for non christians in my house .

sadly the two wiccan members of this forum ..trish and bongexpress ..seem to have disappeared

oh and wicca is a beautiful belief system and has nothing to do with charmed or buffys mate ,that just feeds the ignorance concerning the original religious system in britain

Fuck Me Upside down... Yule is basically what I celebrate. I don't celebrate Christmas in the name of Jesus. :D

Christmas is a pagan festival anyway. It was origanally the day when pagans worshiped the Sun. Christians just chose it as the day Jesus was born to try and convert pagans. Most of the rituals surrounding Christmas have been nicked from Pagans too.

I see that. I was just reading up on Yule. Never really knew what it was about until now.

the roman occupatiojn had saturnalia at the same time ,although the britons at that time secretly celebrated yule.
the fish was the main christian symbol ,to be superceded by the cross as it was a closer symbol to the thors hammer ,worn by much of britain and europe from 500ad to 950ad thanks to the viking occupation of europe.

wicca is a beautiful belief system and its bastardisation thanks to Tv ,film and the fundamentalists pisses me off somewhat.
the devil is a christian concept and has no place in the old religion.

Belief in a devil is stuff and nonsense. The entity known as the devil is just the darkside of human nature manifesting itself in serial killers, terrorists, anarchists, and the like.

Pretty much all of 'Christian Holidays' are done at exactly the same time as pagan festivals were. The Catholic Church did this on purpose to draw pagans into the church. The reason to celebrate is of course not the same though.

I do not practice wiccan/paganism, but does not stop me from loving people that do.

All people are judging (even those that swear they aren't). If anyone here was practicing Christianity and found it to be judging and brainwashing, then they were in the wrong church and the folks at the church weren't reading their Bible in Context. Man is judging; God helps to try and free us from that so that we can live more fully.

i agree entirely and now see those dates in a different light ,but since i come from a country whose folklore, history and even ancient monuments are all wiccan .i apprecaite the belief system so much more .
its dark and cold here in the winter months ,it goes on and on ,and so the soltice is a real turning point for us ,no matter what our faith, all of our ancient monuments (and we are surrounded by them)are in their most beautiful and work as they should at the solstice times .its our history here ,its where we come from ..i would imagine why we have more wiccans here than the rest of the world.

I agree with that...
The only evil is the evil in humans.
