I don't like censorship, so I'm not calling for any threads to be deleted, but quite a lot of mazHur's threads in this forum ought to be in the debate forum.

I can assure you, I'm not for censorship, but there is time and place to see men's dicks on a public internet forum. I don't consider myself a prude, and graphic pictures of anykind don't disturb me, but again, time and place.

That said, the real first clue is when people call each other names, such as stupid, and nothing is done.

That said, I get the fact that we're grown adults and we can choose to ignore it.

Agreed....I wasn't aware mazHur had gone that far in testing civility at OTZ.

As far as name calling, imo, it's irrelevant if it can't be documented but censorship usually winds up as absolutes and in the end does more harm than good......a true test of a good moderator.
I was a member of a forum that had several such moderators. Owner's policy changed and they were out and rules applied as absolutes. Not just within the debate forum, across the whole range of computer tech forums of that site.
What was once a thriving site has less than 1/2 the guests and less than 1/4 the membership participation today as opposed to ~5 years ago. Once a forum loses interesting people that speak freely, others drift away and fewer are attracted.
mazHur may be a 'prickly pear' but the threads he starts that are controversial, do draw an unusually high number of views.

After a while, calling some a stupid ignorant son of a bitch (or equivalent) can get tiring to read:)

Ultimately, when one has to use such terms, the communication has ceased to be a conversation or debate, but just a plain old personal attack.

I agree......but absolutes can turn out to be a worse condition.

Agreed as they are political/religious and he uses them for debate..but he keeps starting several in the general section anyway.

Racist/pornographic proclamations seem to be mazHur's favorite debate/discussion style.
Has he always been like this?

In part...but lately there has been an increase with these style posts from Maz.
Some of the sexual remarks are rather disturbing...Seems to go inline with the culture there.
It appears the more he feels at ease with the deviant sexual remarks the more he posts them.

I agree..animal porn is disgusting..I didnt know if it was allowed or not...I had thought the rules had gotten lax as it had continued for sometime.
Glad to see it is still against the rules.
