Take a look at this crap.

6abc.com: Students Break Teacher's Neck

I wish I could find those guys and kick the ever living shit out of them. Teachers put up with enough crap, and are horribly under payed to put up with this shit. Sorry for the language it might be because I've haven't slept since 9 am yesterday.

Yeah those kids are dumb. Alot of schools don't allow iPod in the classroom, and I bet this school was one of them. Even if it isn't, was it really necessary to push a 60 year old for a damn mp3 player.

Anyway as mentioned in my first post, teachers are greatly underpaid. I mean really do athletes need to make millions of dollars? What teachers make 40 grand a year, and maybe thats for a good year?

$40k is higher-end for a teacher in most states.

I agree with you entirely. We pay guys millions to run into eachother for an hour or so once a week, but pay the people who educate our children next to nothing.

it seems that kids these days are truely out of control. is raises a good question to me though. do you think that if schools instituted a corporal punishment policy it would prevent situations like this from happening?

Yeah I talked to my friend about the salary of teachers, and salary of athletes. He tried to convince me that athletes get paid alot because of the risk of physical injury. Yeah.....thats complete bullshit they know that's a risk they take when they play sports.

Teachers are expecting any physical harm when deciding to teach. They shouldn't have to worry about shootings, and incidents like that. It just pisses me off how under appreciated teachers are in our society.

Youth of today! No respect for their elders, they should bring back corporal punishment. I understand it is still legal in some states in the USA?

No one shows respect any more, a good kick up the arse won't go a miss - once you have had a good beating you think again before doing wrong.
Would you respect someone that punched you in the face? Or would you respect someone that actually tried to help you with your personal problems through talking and work, rather than violence?

If someone punched me in the face I would give him a Glasgow kiss (head butt), school is different - if you are brought up getting away with everything all the time you will continue to do it. Kids seem to get away with everything these days, outside of schools - elderly people are afraid to go out because of kids like this.

The younger generation need to learn some manners and respect for other people.

I certainly agree with you, but I think non-violent solutions should be used first.

i don't think that physical punishment should be the first resort and in schools that had spanking policies that was the last action taken after all others had failed. speaking from personal experience it worked for me. i was never afraid of being grounded or sent to my room but if you kicked my ass i sure thought twice before i did it again.

I see beatings as a way of disciplining someone when you fail to come up with something constructive to help them with. All you're doing is abusing the person, and putting fear into them to not do something, thats not how it should be done. Scare tactics only work negatively.
