OJ had things this guy doesn't: Money, fame, a phenomenal defense team.
Well Britains chief executioners for 30 years said that hanging is the quickest and most humane way of executing someone he came across and he should know, he witnessed more executions by various means than most. If done right, death by hanging is instantanious. Lethal injection is known to sometimes be slow and agonising as its impossible to know exactly how a person will react to the drugs.
I don't believe you should execute someone because your system is so fucked up that the other option is the possibility of letting a child killer go free after 5 years.
Like I said, if the neck is broken, instantaneous, yes.. if not, they will twitch around for awhile.... so I'd say the % that's it NOT painful is about the same for both methods... I just think hanging is more torturous.... didn't you see Saddam hang?

If a hangman is properly skilled there will never be the posibility of long drawn out deaths. Every single one of Albert Pierpoints executions resulted in instantanious death and he carried out hundreds of them. Yes I saw Saddams execution. While the death was instant, the scenes surrounding it were disgraceful and undignified and his death has led to a focal point for some Iraqis. He should have been left to rot in prison for the rest of his life but anyway, that is getting off the topic and is the subject maybe for a different thread.
I still say the torture/death idea is not the solution. Lock his ass up and make him wear a big sign, reading, "I KILLED AN INNOCENT BABY AND I'M GAY".

He won't need to wear a sign.. everyone will know as soon as he walks in... that's how it is in prison... he's screwed regardless of where he goes....
Yeah, but see, the sign will help establish that he killed a baby. And then the "gay" part will let them know he takes it up the ass. Which isn't true, but he'll regret killing that baby once the anal rapage starts.
