Seems I am having a huge problem with earwax build up in my left ear. Driving me crazy. I am trying an over the counter earwax removal kit. I hope it works.

That's a pain the arse.....Some of them are pretty good but if all else fails there's always the big syringe
My little boy just had problems with one of his ears aswell not nice at all seeing him like that...

I can not find anything on the net of reasons why the excess
I would think that it your body protecting you from something
I have when more when I am around loud music or sounds frequently like head phones or when I used to monitor generators in the Marines.
It could be if you are doing a lot of out door lawn care and the allergens and air borne particles, like the clouds of stuff coming from farm equipment.
Try quality ear plugs or muffs.

the wax is the bodies defense to either trap stuff from coming in or to push something out that is already in there that should not be.

ugh... i cant go on more than a half day without having my ears cleaned!
Its almost like an obsession of mine.

i couldn't imagine this issue... they have over the counter stuff for this?

yeah. drops you put in for several minutes then flush with warm water. Seems to be softening things up.

Keep the flushing syringe and save money next time. Squirt in some hydrogen peroxide, wait while it bubbles if you can stand the tickle, then flush. I have to do it a couple times each year.

Get a big old baby mucus bulb for cleaning ears and noses. Warm water to soften and the sgueeze bulb to draw it out. Driving with the window down will bring it on. I had a beetle get in my ear a few years back. That was the most non fun I had ever had for 2 days till the old doc lady got it out. She drowned it in warm oil and I went back the next day and after about 20 minutes she got it out. Dang thing was in there digging for gold till she drowned it.

Aw Fred, wish I could loan you my dog Wendy, she loves cleaning ears.....and toes.........and feet.......but really likes ears, I don't let her near mine cause I'm sensitive but Joe says she does a great job and her tongues is REALLY long!!!!! I think she was an anteater in her last life. :tooth

I actually have an excess earwax issue myself and it's only in my left ear. One of the many issues with the left side of my body. I rinse my ears out every morning in the shower. I actually have a syringe that you're supposed to fill with water to forcibly expel the earwax but I never use it.

I am an ear-cleaning FANATIC!!! I clean them w/ q-tips every day when I get out of the shower and then I use a towel to dry them. My doctor says my incessant ear-cleaning is why I get ear infections every year, LOL

Ear wax has a purpose. It is a seal of sorts to keep nasty stuff out. Sometimes i will get a wad from my left ear as that is the side I sleep on. I don't dig at it. Only what comes with a warm washcloth.

He's gonna use the big luke warm water syringe on you.. If its far to big a wax build up he may ask you to put drops in first and come back.. I had to get that done twice in my life..
