Here Here. My step son is an Eagle Scout, he made a lot of sacrifices to become one. While I would never ask him to give it up and he is not gay, I would very much respect him if he did choose to support that position too.

Although as he is trying to get into the Military academy as an officer after his senior year next year, the timing would not be the best and I know his mother would go ballistic :24:

I don't think so, but it wouldn't shock me greatly, he has always been very sensative. I'd love him either way.......

:clap

I've seen far too many of my friends be "thrown away" by parents who aren't willing to accept their homosexuality. My bestfriend's family is AWESOME...they are extremely accepting of her and her wife.

All I know is if he can get into this place we don't have to pick up the tab, so if it's what he wants, I'd be for it......I just am not sure it's what he really wants but is what his mother is pushing for................but we'll see. He's a very smart, kid, gets very good grades, has done a lot of extra curricular activities, such as Eagle Scout, accepted in some college level Science programs, is a life guard, etc.....we'll see......

He'll become an officer after he graduates, but then his butt belongs to Uncle Sam.

Ah ok, according to Wikipedia, there's West Point and a few other smaller schools. I'm talking just army here btw, not airforce, navy etc. I assumed there was just academy for each branch.

A few "smaller schools"? LOL

Navel academy in Annapolis and the Air Force academy in Colorado Springs.

You're reminding me of some of the people in my area that when I mention that I'm going to Oregon, they ask me "where is that at?"

Perhaps there is no hope for todays youth LMAO
