The world wants Obama’s petition is the decisive international support to Barack Obama!

The Main objective of our initiative is to trigger and increase American public awareness, on how much the rest of the world wants Obama to be the next president of the first and most powerful nation leading our world.

By singing up this petition, we intend to lower the chance of McCain to be elected in November, and consequently reduce the risk that he’ll be pursuing the same old politics, the same failed policies, and incontestable wrong foreign political choices of George W. Bush.

The recent surveys and statistics show for the first time, John McCain beating Barack Obama on the final run. For that reason, it is our last chance to get together and express our active concern on the American electors’ final verdict.

sorry but I don't sign on to trash like this.

who gives a shit what the god damn world thinks. they don't give a shit about us. all they do is whine and blame us for everything and then when a disaster occurs they end up begging for help.

and how about we come over to Russia, England, Australia and start petitions to effect their elections.

now you might think i am pissed off. not true. I actually get a kick out of bull shit threads like this one. :24:

This petition may make people feel good, but it's effectiveness in the election? Maybe if the world prays, something good will happen.

BTW, welcome to the OTZ forums! :)

See, the thing is that actually the US is the most powerful country in this world, and that you want it or not, we all forced to endorse you're gov.'s decisions and action( good ones and bad ones). And if you think the rest of the world doesn't have a word to say, i can understand, but at least let us express our feelings and considerations!

And regarding your comment on if you'll come to Russia, England, Australia and start petitions to effect their elections. Well if these countries would act on a way that have consequences on the us. i hope for you, that at least, you'll try something out!

Regards

The other two petitions on that site are to:
1. stop cosmetic testing on animals
2. stop global warming

What a shock the same site would support Obama! Do you really expect anyone who is even moderately infomred to take this seriously?

For this response it would be better if you used the quote button to reply to a message so there is no doubt who you are responding too. I think what the rest of the world thinks and says is very important as we are part of the global community.

What is not serious about with saying you want action to stop cosmetic testing on animals or to stop global warming? Is that some kind of moral weakness to want those things?

The world doesn't want obama. They just probably want McCain slightly less.
i think thats probably a good assumption ....

...would be great if we could all vote... takes a world to run the world....problem is, are the ones who could out vote other nations civilized enough to do so yet?...and answer is certainly no. as I wouldn't want some backwards woman hating land to tell me who they thought should be my leader.

Both are worthy causes, in and of themselves. It's the site/petition itself that I don't take seriously.

I Agree! We greedy Americans shouldn't hog Obama all to ourselves. Where would you like us to ship his ass, FedEx overnight?
