The U.S. came within minutes of closing down because of lack of funding.
How did it ever get to that point ?
That is one scary thought for any government.:cool

What's even scarier is the thought that government employees (like my father) are being punished because our president is an idiot.

I admit I don't know much about U.S. politics but the part that bothered me was the fact that the troops and or families would not have received their pay /benefits if that happened.
And they are oversea putting their lives on the line.
That's just wrong.

I totally agree. My father is a civilian employee for the military and has worked for them almost 30 years, and he is getting screwed. He's already lost almost half of his 401K (retirement) and now all this nonsense? It's ridiculous! :mad
