What, no Tudors thread? I thought there was one just recently. Anyway after missing the series final episode on Showtime about two weeks ago, we just finished the series finale episode On Demand, and it was a fitting end to this excellent historical drama, although not the most historically accurate according to my learned wife. If you've not watched it, give it a shot for rental.

My observation of those people who thrived on being "in court", at least portrayed in a show like this, it like was moths to the flame. It did not take much effort to get your wings singed or your head chopped off. Henry came across as a big child who threw deadly tantrums when things did not go his way and he was all most completely one-way in his relationships. Ah, the power of being a King, chosen by God no less.

Completely unrealistic and without even an element of historical accuracy. Just one of those dumb dramas they put on to give women something to perv other, complete pile of shit, really.

I only ever saw a few episodes, was interesting. But I agree with Peter, not historical at all really

I love the Tudors and I really thought this show was utter rubbish.

But then again, my mum refuses to watch any historical films or tv programmes (especially on the Tudor period of history) becuase I pick out every single little historical innaccuracy. I also hated The Other Bolyen girl because it wasn't accurate and although I do quite like the film Marie Antoinette, I also picked out all the problems with it.
