It's time for the TSA to go away... past time in fact.

Please forget what I wrote. I just looked at your "news" sites. You win. I'm not engaging.

Nut (whoops that was a slip) But hey. Remember, the answer to 1984 is 1776.

Honestly...I would look at Israel's model

First of all, your suggestion takes away my enjoyment of hearing what words of wisdom my hero retro will have to say. Second of all, I have no idea what Israel's model is.

If you say cavity searches, then I know where I am going on my next vacation.

Americans can't figure out what the hell they want.

People take over multiple airplanes on a coordinated attack on the US and all of sudden people are screaming that are rules are too relaxed per civilian air travel.

Well heres news people, you want security? it comes at a price. Do I think everything the TSA does is right? No. However, EVERYONE who uses public transportation should be held accountable to the same rules per security.

My understanding is Paul refused a pat down. BIG ******* deal, a pat down. The big baby (Paul) should grow up and not throw his weight around as a politician if he can't follow the rues set in place by his own government that was enacted due to the outcry of the general public.

People get on the TSA because they look at children and old people who Americans. NEWS FLASH, EVERYONE gets the same treatment, be it you're in a wheelchair or you're a physically fit 23 year old.

I still remember when my girlfriend (now wife) flew out to Utah with me (after 9/11/2001). I had arranged the trip the year before with my father, and asked my girlfriend if she wanted to go with us, so she had to book a different flight around the same time. She has very white skin and blondish hair. I on the other hand being of Eastern European descent have very dark skin and had a good sized, very dark (now turning gray LOL) beard. I also had a handgun and ammo I had to check on the airlines. So, we both go up to our different check in areas (different airlines), no one knows we're together, I check my handgun/ammo on the flight with travel bag, and I'm ready to go, no problem. I look to see that my girlfriend on the other hand is having her luggage in a "detailed search" with her standing to the side. I'm there scratching my head. A guy who is dark skinned who by all accounts could pass for middle eastern terrorist along with checking in a gun goes right through while on the other hand a very white blonde chick is getting the third degree. Go figure.

Generally speaking, americans don't want to trade their "Freedom" when it comes to security because we have it so good and sometimes never realize it. Not saying it's right or wrong, just saying you can't have both ALL the time.

Too bad it won't fly here. Profiling and using critical thinking skills? Oh hell no. Here we must all be treated as suspects to be fair.

El Al does indeed have a serious model. Here it appears all the TSA is trying to do is turn us into cowed sheep having to show our papers and have our privates searched if they deem worthy enough. I've always thought if we were indeed serious about this, we would have indeed adopted Israel's model. That we didn't says much. baaaahhhhhh baaaaahhhhhh

It would be nice if common sense made a return. You know it's bad when our tourism is in the toilet because people don't feel like being treated as criminals in our airports so they are just taking their vacation dollars elsewhere..... Whee...

Detained and arrested are two different things. What would you put in place in TSA's stead?

Airlines should handle their own security. They could tout their safety record in competitive ads.

The very existence of the TSA is unconstitutional and flies in the face of our rights to liberty, not to mention presumption of innocence and our constitutional protection against unreasonable search & seizure.
