The Subliminal Idea

I'm sure I'm the only person on here who pays attention to subliminal messages and things like that anymore....

Anyways, I was wondering, have any of you really seen or heard something subliminal without trying to see or hear it? Like, accidentally seeing or hearing this, and then realizing it not long after?


For me, I remember when I lived in California (around the age of 13), I noticed after about 2 years or wondering, when I stared at the juice bottle (not sure what company anymore), the juice bottle actually had a cigar on the side of it. The picture when looked at hard enough made out the shape of a cigar going around the bottle... It was wierd, and I just began to notice it once I turned 15.

How about the rest of you? Ever noticed something subliminal, but never realized it until a while after? (Like, without looking for it on purpose)

The other thing I wanted to ask, does subliminal messages and stuff like that scare you? Cause like, with them being subliminal, how do you know your child won't notice it and take after what it shows?

I just read Dean Koontz's Night Chills. It's an interesting look at subliminals. They are illegal though.
