Gen Z is rejecting grind culture for comfort. But when does self-care become self-limitation? Where's the line?

Do you prioritize comfort or challenge in your daily life?

I try to strike a balance. I value comfort, rest, mental health, doing things at my own pace, but I also know that too much comfort can lead to stagnation. Sometimes, growth requires discomfort: pushing through resistance, meeting deadlines, or having tough conversations. I’ve found that when I prioritize only ease, I start to feel unmotivated or disconnected from my goals. So I ask myself regularly, “Is this rest or avoidance?” That helps me stay honest. I think the line between self-care and self-limitation is crossed when comfort keeps us from becoming who we want to be.

I don't think Gen Z is looking for comfort and avoiding challenges. I see the younger generation more interested in facing challenges than the older generation.
