Many people who live through conflict develop complicated grief, mourning not just loved ones but entire ways of life. Can traditional therapy alone heal such deep emotional loss?
I am also suffering from conflict and I do not need any kind of therapy. It is people who hurt me who need therapy. I don't know why people think that victims need therapy rather than people who harm others.
We survived 10 years of bloody conflict. Thankfully, we were not directly affected but we did see a lot of deaths of people we knew very well. Despite 20 years have passed, we can still see grift in the eyes of survivors.
