Does a person have the right to bitch and complain if they donnot vote? I say absolutely yes because it's their RIGHT. It's funny how people say that you donnot have the right to. Whether I vote or not, that particular law will still affect me, therefore I donnot have to like it. If they donnot want me to bitch and complain, then omit me from that particular law.

i personally believe that you dont have the right. you have the option to vote, so regardless of how the election goes you still had a part in it. therefore one may not bitch about anything if you did not excerise your right to vote.

true we probably do need more options, but honestly what is sitting around bitching about anything gonna do? yeah it helps for like the first 10 minutes maybe, but then at that point its time to get up off your ass and do something. typically the ones who like to sit around and bitch, dont do much of anything else.

Can't you spoil your ballot.. Spoiling you ballot on purpose is just as effective as saying all the people are not worth voting for and if enough people do it the press will report it and it will make an impact..

I'm not crazy about our current voting system because I've never felt that my vote makes a difference. I do try to vote in general elections but it doesn't feel like it matters whether I do or not.

I get annoyed by the vote or shut up mentality for this reason, too. I mean, there is NO ONE I would even consider worth being the president of this country, and it's depressing. By choosing the lesser of 2 evils, we just stay running on the hamster wheel of failure.

This is how I view it. If you don't like the government or the people running it, voting is the least you can do. It's as simple as going to the polling area and filling out a ballot. Even if you don't like the Republican or Democratic candidates, there are usually other parties represented for major positions.

Well some of us simply cant... I for example I am not a citizen, I am a resident, I have the right to work, and lead my life within the borders of the United States, while keeping my country of origin's citizenship - This so long as I:

- Abide by the law - the moment i get into some sort of big trouble, my ass would be shipped back to Mexico, especially in this day and age lol
- Pay my taxes - Gotta pay them, cant get out of them
- Keep renewing my green card - pay the processing fees/fill out the necessary paperwork

In essence I have dual citizenship but this all comes at a price, i have an green card that i need to renew every few years and that process is not cheap, i cannot vote, and I cannot really get into any big trouble or my residency will be revoked!
