Looks like Rush Limbaugh got kicked off the investment group trying to buy the Rams. Then he went on his radio show and complained that the problem was liberals and Democrats and liberal bias. It was in yesterdays USAToday. I really feel sorry him. :sarcasm

"This is not about the NFL, it's not about the St. Louis Rams, it's not about me," Limbaugh said. "This is about the ongoing effort by the left in this country, wherever you find them, in the media, the Democrat Party, or wherever, to destroy conservatism, to prevent the mainstreaming of anyone who is prominent as a conservative.

Who here loves Limbaugh? Come on and admit it! :D

May not be the fault of the "left" but he may have a good libel/slander suit against some media outlets for attributing to him very racist quotes that he never said. The guy has said enough goofy shit over the years you'd think people wouldn't have to stoop to making things up wholesale....

I used to like Rush when he first came out back in the 80's. He made a lot of sense back then. But now? I have no use for hate-mongers. Right or Left.

That he and his brethren didn't get behind Ron Paul told me all I needed to know about them. They know who signs their paychecks and they will spout accordingly. pppfffftttt

Tho, I remember the other thread about some talking head wishing Rush dead. Nah, let him live to shoot his mouth off. He's so good at pushing the sold-out status quo's party line............ Eventually it will become obvious to everyone listening.:thumbup

I think he did have a point though about the upcoming players union negotiations having a part of this. The NFL does not want anything to interfere with their cozy existence. Plus he would have been a ticking time bomb where you never knew what he might complain about on air. I also do believe that he was told there would be no problems with his having a piece of ownership by some of the higher ups. But once the race baiters Jackson and Sharpton start yapping you knew this would eventually take on a life of its own if things continued.

I too used to like the guy in the 80's. Still listen once in a while just to get his spin on certain things as they come up. I lost respect for him though when he started talking about abortion. He initially said years ago he would never make that a talking point. Proved to me he is just another nut bag religious type that puts that above everything else.

I've said this before...I'll say it again...despite being politically diametrically opposed, there are times when it restores my faith in humanity to know that not everyone just follows their party and the idiot shills they throw out there. That made my lady business tingly. Thank you. ;)

Seriously, I tried to rep you for that, but it said I have to spread it around first...sheesh...again with the lady business!

Like it or not, the NFL has the right (no pun) to choose who potential owners are. Of course if Rush were a different race or nationality I wonder how it would have played out? Anyone remember the outcry about the small numbers of African American coaches in the NFL a few years back? Just wondering

You think they would keep out Sharpton or Jackson if they wanted to be an owner??

:thumbup:thumbup

those guys are the two biggest reasons that the race card keeps getting thrown......did we ever get an appology out of them for the duke lacross players that they falsely skewered..no, hypocrites both of them.

lol. it could have NOTHING to do with the fact that the man has gone off his rocker and completely fucking INSANE?

he's a helluva lot more sane than say... Al Davis ;)

My issue with the whole thing were the quotes that were invented and attributed to Rush, even though he never said them. The left became obsessed... and Sharpton and Jackson just have to get their names in the media whenever anything happens.
