Yes, I know no-one really gives a shit about it, myself included but does anyone feel this is a piss poor photo? Considering this is supposed to be a proffesional job, I'm quite shocked with what was turned out.

I was gonna say that, too. It almost looks like they were photographed at separate times and spliced together or something. *shrugs*

I agree, Peter...not a very good photo at all.

They look like they can't get far enough away from each other. The composition is totally crap too. I could have done so much better. I don't mind the austere mood that the darkness and lack of lighting gives it but the composition sucks donkey balls.

yes, terrible shot. Reminds me of the pictures they used to take of dead people. I wonder what the queen had to say about it when she saw it.

I think the chairs on the right should be cropped out... Just looks cluttery... Overall Its a nice picture
They are seated in a two-seater (love chair)... They both look at ease. Plus with them being an elderly couple I don't really expect um to be hugged up and kissing.

Maybe it was meant to be like that. You probably don't get a chance to photograph the Queen if you're crap, and I bet they don't publish it if they really think it's awful either. Perhaps it's supposed to be something different from the usual royal portraits.

My main issue with that photo is the lighting. It's horrible.

Whatever their credentials - it's still crap. So if it was meant to be that way, objective achieved.

I kind of like it...

I like the way they are in the light, but the rest is in the dark - it reminds me of the old time classic paintings. I like that they aren't holding hands or sitting closer - maybe they aren't that close?

The pillow thing does bother me as well.

I also don't like that you can see the Prince's face. I feel like there should have been a slight reflector screen used or something just so you can see something on his face.

I think it's very stark and shows their age, but maybe that's a good thing - it's very documentary instead of romanticized.

Like I said I kind of like it
