Has anyone seen it yet?...was it worth the money or should I wait until it comes out on blueray?:confused
The previews look very good and I do like the fact there is kung-phooey stuff in it.:nod:

I didn't see it at the theaters, I'll be getting it on DVD though... just because Jet Li is in it. The first Mummy movie was pretty awesome... the second though I thought was shithouse.

I guess if you likes these types of movies, you should check out the new Scorpion King as well; The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior (2008) (V)

Yeah, I saw the previews for that last night, but to be honest I thought, looks like a crap movie as none of the old actors will be back to play in it...not to mention its gone straight to DVD so it likely didn't do well when they tested it on audiences.

Today that seems to be a skill to keep the CGI under control,to support the movie, but not take over. Because once it takes over, I loose interest.

The first movie I can currently remember getting the "overdone" feeling was the remake of "The Haunting", a most excellent 60-ish film regarding a haunted house. The remake was so over the top, blech...

Based on this thread and the reviews, I have designated the movie "rental material".

The problem with CGI is it does not age well.

A good example would be the Blade Runner film, that's 25 years old nearly, but still looks fantastic because instead of computer modelling and effects, it chose just little toys and models to do it's special effects.

Yea like most have already said, this is a horrid movie (and I have the boxset of the first two). It has lost all the humor and charm which made the first 2 movies so great. Leave this no real story cgi fest alone heh

Isn't it not out for like 2 days? At least here. I wasn't really planning on seeing it, maybe on DVD. When people say a movie sucks it makes me wanna see it more sometimes I don't know if this is the case for The Mummy tho.

I saw this movie last night, it has the same idea that was in the Mummy part I and II. In this movie the producer wants to create suspense till the end of the movie.
