Any fans here?
I completely missed most of the season but they had 2 episodes on back to back Sat and I caught them. Pretty good, enough to get me to tune into the Season Final last night. In short a mentalist is someone who uses Mentalism, mental acuity and other abilities to figure out mysteries. The main character is looking for a serial killer called Red John who leaves a smiley face at the scene of his crimes drawn in the victim's blood.
Turns out his wife and child were murdered by this killer. What I don't know is 1) were they killed by chance of because of something he did? 2) was the 1st episode or early in the season when they were killed or did it happen prior to starting timeline of the show?
