Scientist Bruce Banner desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk. Living in the shadows--cut off from a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross--Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross, and the military machinery that seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power. As all three grapple with the secrets that led to The Hulk's creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as The Abomination, whose destructive strength exceeds even The Hulk's own. To stop it, one scientist must make an agonizing final choice: accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or find heroism in the creature he holds inside--The Incredible Hulk.
So, I just saw this last night(Just a few hours ago) at 12:01am(Advanced showing at our movie theater. They've been doing midnight releases a lot lately). I can honestly say this is going to be one of the most popular movies this summer. It's right up there wtih Iron Man, and even gives Iron Man a bit of a run for it's money. The special effects and graphics were much better and more believable than the first Hulk(And don't be fooled, this isn't a sequel. It's a franchise reboot). The action sequences and fight scenes were bad-ass(If you liked Iron Man and Transformers, you'll love this movie). Not to mention, Edward Norton and Liv Tyler did amazing in their performances. The movie had the right combination of comedy and seriousness as well. And if you're hesitant about seeing this, or if you don't think it'll be good, take this into consideration: In the theater I was in, the audience started clapping and cheering FIVE times(I counted) before the first 5 minutes of the movie had even gone by. Everybody was cheering and clapping throughout the entire movie as well. I don't know if it was just because it was 2am by the time the movie was finished, or whatever, but I've honestly never seen an audience this hyped and crazy. I can safely say that anybody who misses this movie in theaters(It'll never be the same as it was in theaters. DVD won't be the same) is missing out on one of the next biggest summer movies of 2008.
