I really don't see why people say the remake ruined the original. I saw the original, and I love the remake much more. The dialogue in the original is pretty lame, "Fuck you butthead!" as opposed to the remake, "Fuck you asshole!". Sean Bean also is a much better John Ryder, because he's so mysterious and scary, especially how he says the words "I want to die". In the original, John Ryder just blurts it out, but in the remake, he says, "Say it! I........want.......to die".
