There is a great potential. In my country, there is a company that keeps gamers on payroll so that they can participate on various esports tournaments.
It has become something so normal and natural that I still can't believe it, I feel so happy about it, nowadays it is so normal that you like to play video games, in my time when I was a teenager it was so strange, so unusual, they even treated you like a strange person, nowadays it is 100% normalized and I like that a lot.
The growth of esports as a career has been rapid, turning passionate gamers into professionals with global followings. Players now earn through tournaments, sponsorships, and streaming platforms like Twitch or YouTube. Games like League of Legends, Valorant, and Dota 2 have created massive competitive scenes, attracting millions of viewers. Esports organizations offer coaching, salaries, and brand deals, much like traditional sports.
Organizing eSports events could become a thing of the future. The fact of the matter remains that I think that there are a few organisations that do organize such events at local level. However, I don't think that such events are organized at national or international levels as of now in my country.
