Yes. I'd love to meet these people who think facebook likes are real currency.

ive been seeing a slew of different pictures with "like if you support/agree". a little boy in a military uniform saluting his fathers headstone, a severely burned military man standing next to his (not so happy looking) wife. there's more different ones, but those 2 are the ones thats been seen more. i mean, what is your "like" going to do!? NOT A DAMN THING!

Exactly and I'm sure these stories are fabricated to tug on peoples heart strings, just like the abusive father.

yeah, dont merge. they're two different threads about FB. one being informative, and this one being about the ridiculous scams going around.

No one has said its not. No one is saying any of the picutres are fake. "Liking" them isnt doing anything

I don't remember there being a "like this and it'll do something" mantra w/ the marine's picture, but I could be wrong. But, for the record:

Thats all there is with those pictures "like if you agree", "like if you support", etc. i just saw it AGAIN on my FB.

And i know what fabricated means. While the pictures may be real, the stories usually arent. Like Dana said, they're made up to tug at peoples heart strings

Okay...I'll back up and try this again.

I googled the burned marine. There is a news story and multiple articles about said picture and it winning a contest. I had to look it up to remember what the "like" story behind the photo was and it was basically "he's a hero, like to show your respect." I prefer to show my respect in more meaningful ways.

Another one just popped up on my feed. Some 3 month old baby with some kind of sickness and "Like to help save her life!"

What's the thing all these photo's have in common? They're taken by photographers who sell them to magazines and try to make money.
