The conjuring - was it real?

Apparently it is based on a true story and the investigators and family depicted in the movie both acted as consultants on the movie set. If you have seen this very scary movie - do you think it is real? The possession, the exorcism, etc..

I saw this movie in the theater. The people behind me kept laughing through the whole thing so the creep factor was held at bay a little. But I still thought it was pretty scary. Not sure whether I believe in this story or not but I do think anything is possible.

I don't know if it is real, but the movie is based on a true story. It got me scared a little though, which I had nightmares for a few nights in a row. It can happen to some people though since ghosts do exist.
