We circle, we do not look at each others eyes, cause they do not tell us what we need to know

We are surrounded by a blood thirsty crowd that yells and screams, but they will never know

I have prepared for this moment, and so have you, but together surrounded, we are alone

I smell your sweat, your breath, your contempt to falter

I know you smell mine

We circle here half naked

Both fear what we do not know about the other, but we have come here to unlock that mystery

And you throw

I sense it. It was thrown to kill me, to maim me, and most of all, to test me

For what is my reaction? Am I not a student? Do I l not learn if it passes or lands?

I slide, it misses

My left hook connects, you fall

I stand above you in elation, the fear is gone

My eyes well up, and with blurred vision I have passed the test

I celebrate, I reflect, I come back to your side

You are limp and lifeless

Your eyes are open, yet they do not see

And when they finally regain the conciseness we seek, you understand

Today I am the victor, but I embrace you with blurred vision

I see the mirror reflect

For I have been you, and there is no bliss this planet has ever offered

Than to see you become me

The crowd cheers, but yet, they can never understand

Half naked we hug in a cage, the mystery is gone, those who do not throw can never understand. those

who do not cry. missed the point completely
