the champions league draw is a farce

its rigged big time......whats the point of the league phase if, because of seeding anyone could predict the last 16 with fairly good accuracy....going to putting all the teams in a bowl and drawing the groups at random would be good for the game,it would increase competition and allow smaller clubs to progress.so what if a group contained barcalona,ac milan,real madrid and manchester united....its meant to be a competition after all...but as it stands its just a money spinner,from tv rights i might add......now wouldn't chelsea,arsenal and tottenham ending up in the same group be a mouth watering prospect?.....or both of the milan clubs?.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with money. The reason they seed is because they have a co-efficient system which rewards progress in Europe and in your own league, sure we'd get to see Barcelona vs Inter Milan in the group stage or Manchester United vs Arsenal......But the problem is these games would be poor in my opinion because the teams are that good and they'd be generally more cautious so as not to concede.

But we do get upsets, last year Rubin Kazan beat Barcelona, Nicosia held Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. So we do get good games from these smaller teams. It's fine as it is for me, really is. The only reason you moan is because you like smaller clubs. Most people don't.

I disagree.

Seeding ensures a good knock out stage, which is what we want. I don't even watch the group stages.
