The Better Than Life chip

I've been playing a little bit of Shadowrun Returns on my Android device and it's such a great turn-based RPG. One thing that I found intriguing though is the Better Than Life (BTL) chip that the game talks about. It's some sort of a drug which allows a person to live on the life somebody else. If you don't have a good life, take BTL and you could experience the life of somebody else. Imagine living in the shoes of Kobe Bryant or Mayweather or Bill Gates or Donald Trump. What's keeping our technology too long to make this? :tooth
