So I emailed the dude and told him my issues. I haven't heard back yet but he wanted a pot leaf behind the guitar and after like 10 emails and so many "almost there"'s and changes I emailed him because I'm not just going to insert something and call it good. Theres a difference between me putting something in that was supplied to me and coming up with concepts from scratch.... So anyways... I just altered the typography and sent this to him and I hope he digs it.....

I also wrote to him and explained my issues....

I haven't been dodging you or anything, I've been trying to salivate my creative juices with your logo. I know that you want a realistic looking pot leaf behhind the guitars but I kept messing with it and I couldn't come up with something I found satisfactory. It'd be easy for me to plop something there and say fuck it but that's not how I do work. I take pride in my designs. now, I know the customer is always right and I can continue to mess with it but really I don't know what else to do with that concept. With that said, I did come up with this concept tonight and i'm hoping you dig it.

i think it looks alright but you should make both body shapes at the base of the neck the same.
