Total bullshit IMO. If you ask me, they ought to let him in for free! The man only lost his status as a resident b/c he was of in another country protecting the freedom of the same assholes that wont let him into college!! At the same time tho, doesnt the military offer some kind of scholarship to its enlisted??

You can get a $50,000 scholarship if you know about it. I never new about it when I enlisted. They don't have to pay to go to any state school in Texas, if he enlisted in Texas.

I think that outta let him in for FREE! For putting his life on the line, hell, I think everyone who is in the service or has been in the service outta get free medical treatment until the day they die too!

I appreciate all your posts on this matter. It's amazing to see sometimses the amount of criticism the military takes considering the brave young men who have fought for their freedom. I'm a Marine myself and have served a tour in Iraq. I never asked for anything in return and I never will. It was an honor and a privilege to serve my country in that respect. I'd rather the critics just shut their mouths and go on their own merry way than give me their ridiculous opinions. The troops are not fighting for God, country, freedom, oil, or anything else the media feeds America. The Marines in Iraq are fighting for the Marines fighting right beside them. It's nice to know there are people out there on our side - thanks for all your support. Semper Fi!!
