Ideas include melting polar caps with orbital mirrors and introducing engineered bacteria. But the process would take centuries. Should we focus on Mars or space habitats first? What ethical issues does planetary engineering raise?

Terraforming Mars sounds incredible but is a massive challenge. I think it’s possible someday, with advanced tech creating atmosphere and water. It would take centuries, though, requiring global effort and patience to make Mars truly livable.

I do not think that terraforming mars would be possible as of now. We are talking about changing an entire planet. We cannot even change our own planet, so how can we change the other one which is located so far away?
