Techniques to deal with work-related stress

I'm lookin' for some techniques to deal with work-related stress. I've tried everything from going to a gym after work, alcoholism, venting to sexual promiscuity. And nothing seems to really work.

Any suggestions?

If it's so stressful perhaps the only longterm solution is a new job.

In the meantime use as much of your leisure time to actively de-stress as you can.
Exercise can be helpful , pay attention to your diet, make sure you get enough sleep and use a friend or partner to talk through the things that most bother you with.
