Nobody has any response to this? This is a huge grassroots movement and I thought I would get a few replies..

My Baby Cousin has tea parties now and again.

Personally I think it's more than a little ridiculous. IMO.

Why is that? People are upset the government is spending huge amounts of money (amongst other things) and this is a demonstration where like minded people can get together to let the government know that we the people are not happy.

It doesn't seem so much about the money, more like an anti-liberal movement.

But through the Tea Party Movement, traditional mainstream media has proven, yet again, its full incompetence when it comes to straightforward and honest journalism. Here in Chicago most media outlets completely ignored the February 27th Tea Party protests. This was the case in most cities.
To date, only Fox News and a few conservative talk radio hosts have given the Tea Party Movement any significant attention. And even then, in many cases, the grassroots element is either laughed at or completely left out.

Have fun, and don't forget to bring a sweater. I don't want you to catch a cold on your outing with your little friends... :24:

Republicans invented big government spending... but you don't get anything for all their spending.

It is certainly a very conservative idea that we don't want our tax dollars spent for socialist reasons. Liberals and conservatives are showing up to these events, albeit more conservatives than liberals.

Traditional mainstream media...aka liberal media. Of course they ignore it! Bush's administration did a lot of government spending but republicans certainly didn't invent it! Conservative republicans constantly fight against socialist programs that democrats try to push through.
