Tax Preparation Time is always Hoot !! :(

So here I am getting all my tax documentation in order..

For almost 10 years now I could print all my account information online for my internet and phone that I get from one provider. It was nice and clear record in a very detailed format which was easy to use..

Low and behold they made upgrades and someone missed the "Print" button..

Almost 1 hour on hold, no big deal, as I was doing other paperwork and they finally get on the line and send me right over to technical support.. The tech says "no way, the print button is missing".. Seems in the latest updates someone fucked up and missed the print button..

They are now in scramble mode as many people use this account history for tax purposes.

If they don't fix it quick they will have a fun day on tax deadline day..

I've been gently suggesting (i.e. nagging) my hubby to get our taxes done (we get a refund) so we can get the money back to use toward the property. Today he is off work and I again suggested what a good day it would be to do them. I then took the book he had been reading to work with me (so I could read it at lunch) and told him hey, he didn't have to go out and get beer for later tonite (though none in the house now) as I'd get some on the way home. (So he wouldn't get it too early and start drinking, thus another reason not to do taxes). I even promised him sexual favors if he would do it. I'm contemplating throwing in a threesome (though I currently don't know of anyone to suggest) if that all else fails........:jk

I wish taxes weren't such a pain in the a$$ to do..

Each year I have to scramble to get all the documentation together that I usually have to keep in several places until Dec 31st anyway.. Car insurance, home Mortgage payments, Billing information that does not end till Dec 31st.

I guess if I wanted to I could pay my accountant an extra $400.00 for him to keep the little papers I try to keep in a box and still have to get him all this stuff at the end of the year anyways.. Seems redundant and the fact he does a business income tax report for me at the cost of a personal income tax cost because I do such a great job with my spreadsheets reports, why pay more.

As I don't pay taxes all year and have to lump sum it when tax time comes it can be a challenge.. The cost of being a sub-contractor in my field.. I could Incorporate but than would have to pay that cost and do quarterly taxes at a high cost.. It's a damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Personally I like this way, because it allows me to make extra money on "my own taxes money" and when the US dollar goes up I can trade and make money but if it's down of course I lose..

Again, its just a pain getting the documentation all done and I am about 85% thru it now..
