supposed "privileged" information

This notebook that Holmes sent to his psychiatrist, or anything threatening he may have told her for that matter, doesn't the law say that it no longer remains privileged if the threatening information he admits that he is going to either kill himself or someone else?

I believe if you are considered a threat to yourself or others a doctor has an obligation to tell the authorities........

States vary as to how the reporting duties go. The doctor was obligated in this case to report it. The fact the mail had not been delivered to her and was unopened should clear her.

Its. Just incredibly frustrating that they're trying to make it priviledged after the fact. Especially after what he's done
