Supporting a partner with mental health struggles is tough. How do you offer help while caring for yourself? What’s worked in your relationship?

My wife has a history of clinical anxiety, he was under medication for some thing. Therapy and medication helped her. I was always with her when she was battling her anxiety

That’s really supportive of you. Being there during her anxiety journey shows strength and love. Therapy and medication often work best combined, and having a caring partner by her side can make all the difference in recovery and resilience.

Supporting a partner’s mental health means being patient, listening without judgment, and encouraging them to seek help. I’ve learned that simply being present, offering reassurance, and avoiding pressure makes a big difference in their healing journey.

There are several ways to support a partner that has mental health issues. Don't be judgemental. Be ready to listen to their ramblings. Be ready to pamper when needed. I know it can be draining but what do we do for partners that we love?
