This will be a puppy bowl and party food kinda year for me lol.
The only feeling I have at all is disgust over potentially seeing Chad Johnson with a Lombardi. Otherwise, may the best team win!

I'll be watching just b/c it's the Superbowl and I always watch...but I don't do professional football, so I don't have a dog in this fight. ;)

I don't really care but I picked the Pats anyway. I'm going to a private Superbowl party Sunday at my local watering hole.

With the exception of the blowout win over Denver where Brady tossed six-touchdown passes, Tom Brady hasn't played so great in the playoffs over the last few years.

I'm still going to be in camp when the game's on, it sucks. I always have or attend a Super Bowl party...it's one of the greatest of the year!

Although I don't watch much, I somewhat follow the season and have been a Pats fan for a while now....so GO PATS GO.

Some feel the Patriots defense has improved lately. I disagree. Sure, they did OK against Denver and Baltimore in the playoffs. But those two teams didn't have high-powered offenses.

you think the Giants are a high powered offense? really? wow....The Saints, Packers were two of the scariest offenses in the NFC. The Giants were not the same as those two

Look at the Giants last five games of the regular season along with their three playoff games.

PPG: 27.875
YPG: 408

Manning is averaging 312.25 Passing YPG, 17 TDs, 7 INT, with a 95.15 passer rating.

The Giants offense came on at the right time of the year, and they've become really high powered. Stop looking at things through your Patriots colored glasses. :p :24:

Oh, and the Patriots scored a lot more points and put up more yards in that same time frame... but they also didn't play a single team with a winning record until the playoffs, and Denver barely counted as a playoff team. The Giants played two 8-8 teams in the Cowboys and Jets (the Cowboys twice), the Falcons, the Packers twice, and the best defense in the NFL in the 49ers.

oh don't pull that card about the Patriots not playing a +.500 team, that is BS its not their fault the schedule favored them..and they played the NFC Least. The 49ers handed the game to the Giants with those two fumbles! The Ravens very easily could have beaten the Patriots in the Championship game. But the stats show if the Patriots were going to play the Pack or the 49ers or even the Saints they would not have been favored at all. For the Patriots to win the offense has to step it up because of Gronkowski and his injury. so they have to plan around his injury. (Does Ochocinco play even a down?) the Giants have to play all phases of the game to win, the Patriots have to step up the defense to win. Too many questions on both sides of the ball for both teams.

I'm not pulling anything... I'm stating facts. In the last 8 games, the Patriots have played two with .500 or better records. Whether or not you want to admit that it helped their numbers is completely irrelevant, because the facts speak for themselves. The Giants played a tougher schedule in their last 8 games, and put up good numbers in most of them. Yes, the Niners blew it, but the Giants capitalized on the mistakes and won the game.

If the Patriots were playing the Niners, you'd better believe they'd still be favored... Brady is the golden child of the NFL, we all bow down to the wonderful majesty that is Tom Brady and thank God every Sunday that we're graced with his talent. Or at least that's what you would believe from listening to ESPN, CBS, Fox, NBC, or the NFL network.

The Giants simply have to play the way they have for the last few weeks in order to win. Their defense has been very good... look at what they did to the Falcons. Their offense is coming alive... hell, Eli put up over 300 yards on the best defense in the NFL. My money is on Eli absolutely torching the pathetic Patriots secondary, and Brady getting thrown into the turf at least 5 times. The Giants defense can be scary good, and their offense can be as well... they just both need to show up.
