i just struggled through the 1st 40mins of the australian movie 'suing the devil' starring malcolm mcdowell as satan! a lawyer, after the death of his mother, decides to take satan to court.just before the trial is thrown out of court for being ridiculous satan turns up!instead of defending himself he hires 10 of the worlds top lawyers and it turns out they all believe in god but just dont like him so are fine with representing the devil....plus they r getting paid millions each.the world watches on tv with bated breath.except me cos its badly acted and has a poorly written script (at least the 1st 40mins does anyway)anywaythe devil is fine with admitting his existence to the world therefore making the world believe in god.his argument is that its gods fault for letting him get away with.i personally believe in god.but it seems to me from the small amount of knowledge i have about god that satan did us a favour.before 'the loss of innocence' adam and eve sounded like mindless drones. (or whatever adam and eve represent) god was angry once they formed the ability to choose right from wrong.i like being able to think for myself.i wonder if people in heaven will lose the ability to choose right from wrong and revert back to non-questioning cogs in gods kingdom.i hope not
