I quite enjoyed the goonies when i was younger. I read somewhere that they are going to do a remake but i think it's more of a kids movie. I might still watch it though.

Stupid movies aren't necessarily bad movies. The 80's excelled at making excellent movies out of stupid storylines. Just think of Beetlejuice, Weekend at Bernie's, Groundhog Day, Back to the Future, Die Hard, etc.

Dang, you forgot about "Sixteen Candles".

Actually, if you lived in the 80's, those Hughes movies were actually pretty darn good for taking a date to. You probably have no clue who the man is, but he was a very talented screenwriter, producer and director.

I thought Rocky 4 was entertaining but sort of stupid at the same time.

Take the end, for example. Rocky is fighting a Russian in the Soviet Union. And towards the end of the fight, everyone starts rooting for Rocky.

It's too far-fetched if you ask me.
