Strange things you believed as a child

I know i had quite a few of them, most were rather idiotic but with a mix of old traditions and ignorance i believed them all LOL

1. The Cucuy - the boogie man! every dark room holds a Cucuy! *UY CUCUY!*
2. You can get a cold from walking around on the cold floor barefoot
3. You get a cold from walking out of the house on a cold day with wet hair
4. Eating any seed would make a plant come out of your belly button/ass

Not me, but my brother. There was this old picture from the late 80's of my granddad with the local football team (he was head groundsman) and because they had very similar kits to West Ham United I convinced him he was the manager of them back in the 80's. He believed it for years.

I didn't like bowling pins in fear they will get sick and tired of being hit by a big hard ball.
I dreamed they attacked.
They would form us like them and bowl us down.
Of course I got over it as a adult.
