stove rice= bah

I really suck at making it. I think I'll stick to noodles.

No matter how long I let it simmer, I can never get all the rice cooked so that it's soft.

and you need to put a cover on it and take it off the heat so it softens

I did... but it didn't... It says let it simmer for 15-20 minutes and it sat there for a half hour.

It doesn't say to take it off the heat. It says turn the heat down and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Yeah Uncle Bens. Tear it open a tad, put in microwave 90 seconds and viola! Its done.
