A couple of weeks ago I was reading somewhere that someone had figured out the person who took the shot and posted up their information online and couldn't figure out what the big deal was.

It is believed that Saturday's helicopter crash in eastern Afghanistan that killed 31 Americans was downed by insurgents, a U.S. military official told CNN.

Of those killed, 22 were Navy SEALs, he said.

The SEALs belonged to the same unit that conducted a raid in May that killed Osama bin Laden, but they were not part of that operation, the official said.

Special forces have been conducting almost daily nighttime raids against insurgent targets throughout Afghanistan. Saturday's crash took place in the eastern province of Wardak, an area rife with insurgent activity.

Insurgents is such a politically correct term for pussy's or terrorists. Pick your poison.

"To watch the courageous Afghan freedom fighters battle modern arsenals with simple hand-held weapons is an inspiration to those who love freedom."

You know who said that?

Ironically enough, some people considered those "freedom fighters" pussy's or terrorists.

I'm getting old enough that I've come to the realization that ones perspective may depend on what side of the fence you're sitting on.

What I still can't figure out though is if Karzai is a US puppet or if the US is Karzai's puppet. Sorry, when you lose millions upon millions of dollars in aid, it does make one wonder.
