One of my favorite performances of hers was in "Lake Placid". It was utterly shocking but hysterical to hear her speak her lines. Some of the lines go against her personal causes, so it enhanced the pathos.

Lake Placid (1999)

It's a small, very silly comedy/monster film, but the comedy is the overriding genre.

The rest of the cast are not unknowns either. Bridget Fonda, Bill Pullman, Brendan Gleeson.

I recommend it if you come across it on cable or late night TV.

That has been recommended to me by numerous people, but I never had a chance to check it out. I didn't know Betty was in it. I might have to correct that situation.
That show fucking rocks.:thumbup

It has humor and serious stuff in it. I am pissed off they did not come back for another season.

If you are gonna watch it then start from the beginning. You can get DVD's for each season. If you catch it off track then some stuff will not make sense. I don't recall when she makes her entrance but it is pretty damn funny. And she has a continuing part from there on for a while.

The people who have recomended it to me think the same of it. Crazy fun.

I received that file from one of them. It's hysterical. :24:

I love Lake Placid!

I used to watch it all the time, but haven't in a while.

It hasn't been on cable for a bit, but I liked it well enough to buy it. Oliver Platt and Brendan Fraser, the whacko scientist and the sheriff, play off each other so nicely. They have comic chemistry.

Of course it helps the David E. Kelley wrote it. His dialog snaps!

I know when I was younger I cried when I saw it because of them feeding the cow to the croc. :p

That was sad and twisted too. Did you know Betty White is an animal advocate? I don't think she belongs to PETA, but to another foundation for animals. She used to do commercials for them.

So it was wild to have her feeding the cow to the croc.

The first time I saaw it, I really was worried the cow they dunk from the chopper would get eaten at some point before it ended. LOL
