Those ideas both sound good :) I remember a doctor telling me once to gargle salty water, but I'm not keen on that. And also that drinking hot fluids is better because then it allows the white blood cells to come through and heal the throat, apparently. Only short term fixes though lol.

you should aim to drink a big glass of good fruit juice every day, that keeps that kind of thing away. My throat is my Achilles heel, so I've learned over the years to drink plenty of juice, keeps any problems at bay.

Sounds like a good idea, might go buy some tomorrow before I get too sick to get out of bed. If it's anything like my mum's sickness I should be coughing and spluttering stuff in a few days :ninja
It has to be berry juice right? :p Orange juice makes my throat worse strangely..

I'm the same, I actually have a fruit allergy, if I have too much my throat dries, cracks and then swells... nasty. OJ isn't good for a sore throat from my experience, berry seems much gentler :)

hope you don't get to the coughing and spluttering stage!

Oh, that sucks about the fruit allergy =/

What if I get blackcurrant juice, it sounds so nice right about now lol.

I hope so too, it could've been from work too I guess, had so much of it this week.

Throat spray/Throat Drops. Suck on those for a while when your throat is uncomfortable, helps keep your mouth moist, also drink plenty of fluids & try not to eat anything solid until the soreness goes away.

I haven't seen picked ginger for sale, just buy a raw ginger, cut it into about 1cm cubes and pickle it yourself. You just eat one or two squares at a time when it's ready.

Water with salt is really good, you should definitely do it. Mix a little bit of salt with warm water and gargle with it, it's really good and it will help a lot.

I usually do tea with honey.
But I also usually call my doc up and make her give me some good cough medicine with codeine in it lol.
