Alright before we begin let me mention something. I am a drug dealer gone clean. I am 17 years old, i got arrested for pushing bud last year. Now iam clean though, and you will see how this ties into my story.
A few months ago I worked for a company called Giant Food. It is a grocery store. I quit there 6 WEEKS AGO. I never got my last paycheck because it was stolen, but i originally just thought it was lost. payday is on thrusday. I originally came on the first payday after i quit and my paycheck was missing. I could do nothing about it because the manager had left for the day. I had a second job at best buy so i didnt worry and returned the next week. The next week I came and the manager was on vacation for 2 week's. So i lost 2 more week's. I came back The week after and I finially got to meet with the manager. He called the Giant Payroll people and stopped payment on my check and assured me the next week it would be in. Today, i walked into giant happy I would get my check. I was wrong. The manager took me upstairs. He told me the payment on my check COULD NOT be stopped because it was already cashed. I told him I did not cash the check. He showed me a photocopy of the check. It was cashed by someone else, and they forged my signature. The damn cignature was an O with a line over it and my initials are SVL..Theres no O at all in my name. Its so obvious someone stole my check and forged my signature. The manager looked at my check further and noticed it was cashed at another giant and they are going to review the tapes to see who cashed my check. theres 2 main things here that are killing me.
1. THE SIGNATURE WAS NOT MINE!
2. YOU NEED AN I.D TO CASH CHECK'S... HOW DID SOMEONE GET MY ID?
The second point hits me the most. How do you not check the ID for a check. Its very obvious whoever cashed my check at the other giant had a friend who knew and cashed it for them without checking their ID. Its very obvious this was all set up and planned.
I know who stole my check . it was another worker there, she did not like me. She knew before that i used to deal weed and her brothers are gang members, they are part of the local 74 GD Click. They robbed me a few weeks before and I did not have weed on me, because i dont sell drugs anymore. They were pissed off, and they stabbed me a few times i had togo to the hospital. Eventhough I know their names, I dont snitch and I never will. They also robbed me once at 11pm when I got off my shift to walk to my car. And the girl, she is never there when i get robbed. But her brothers always videotape it. She comes to work with the videos and shows all my co worker's, then she uploads it on youtube and shows everyone in school.
I know for a fact she stole my check. She quit the day before I quit. And she bargged to a whole bunch of people at school that she did it. I know she stole the check and she went to another Giant and she got her brother to cash the check there. My manager said they would check the security tapes at the other giant where my cash was checked. The giant people dont know her brother so he wont be in any trouble at all. And the guy who cashed the check for them without checking the ID...I bet he was friends with her too. But he will get off by simply saying he forgot to check the ID.
I cant explain this to the giant manager. I cant. I cant tell him i used to sell weed. and even if that, he wouldent believe this whole mix up. How will i get my check back. Its a good 250$, and I need that money or I dont know if my car insurance payments will get in this month. Help..
