Wake up
You are still alive in me.
I feel the pieces,
floating amidst my nature,
mingling in my blood.
If you were truly gone,
they'd be buried in the mud,
with the rest of you..
Today, the rain pours down,
on your resting ground.
I see you living.
I hear you breathing.
I feel your smile.
It creeps across my face,
Every once in a while.
I'm still sixteen.
You're still twenty, and beautiful.
That breeze on my skin,
whispers of the sin,
we once had.
Only I'm kneeling
and you're asleep.
You are still alive in me.
I feel the pieces,
floating amidst my nature,
mingling in my blood.
If you were truly gone,
they'd be buried in the mud,
with the rest of you..
Today, the rain pours down,
on your resting ground.
I see you living.
I hear you breathing.
I feel your smile.
It creeps across my face,
Every once in a while.
I'm still sixteen.
You're still twenty, and beautiful.
That breeze on my skin,
whispers of the sin,
we once had.
Only I'm kneeling
and you're asleep.
