If you where on at all during march 16th, 2014. You would have notice that the boards have been extremely slow. Along with this, you might have came across a notice that the forums might have been closed for updates.

I am pleased to announce that we are back up, speeds are back to normal, and I have upgraded our XenForo Software to 1.3 (previously 1.2.4).

To check out any updates and improvements you can go ahead and check this message:

On another note, I hope to see speed increases through out the next month while I configure our new Content Delivery Network (CDN). I have purchased a package over at MaxCDN to help distribute our server load by displaying all images, javascripts, and data files over servers from all across the world that would be closest to you. I will soon be also adding our CSS to be loaded from the CDN as well.

Not only will this help decrease server bandwidth, but will also speed up the site considerably.
If anyone finds any issues with the site or errors please let me know!

Yeah what she said!

Ha ha well basically a CDN distributes your content to servers all around the world.
here is a picture so far of the stats of 24 hours:
http://prntscr.com/31vrt7

So, to make it easier to understand, the server that OTz is currently on physically is hosted in Dallas, US. If someone from London, England trys to load OTz, they have to load our content all the way from across the ocean from another country, and it takes longer to load.
However, with a CDN, because all of our images, data, javascripts, etc are put on servers throughout the world, when you load our page, you will be loading content from a server that is closest to you making it load faster.

It helps with both speed and performance. However, if our main physical server still goes down, the site still won't load. So this is more of a boost then a fix.
